Lightning Lane Multi Pass vs. Single Pass vs. Premier Pass

Compare Disney World's three Lightning Lane pass types, advance selections, same-day limits, park hopping, purchase windows and variable pricing.

01 · Side by side

The passes solve three different planning problems

Every Lightning Lane pass provides access to a shorter Lightning Lane entrance for eligible experiences rather than the standby queue. None promises immediate boarding, and traditional standby queues remain available where Disney offers them.

The key differences are the number and type of included experiences, whether arrival windows must be scheduled and whether the pass can support a park-hopping day.

PassCoverageArrival windowsPark scope
Multi PassUp to 3 advance Multi Pass choices, then additional choices one at a time subject to availabilityRequiredInitial choices in one park; later choices may cross parks with Park Hopper benefits
Single PassOne selected high-demand attraction; up to 2 Single Pass purchases per dayRequiredOnly the selected attraction
Premier PassOne-time entry to every available Lightning Lane experience in the selected parkNot requiredOne park for one day; no park-hopping use
Bottom line

Multi Pass is a rolling schedule, Single Pass is one headliner, and Premier Pass is one use of every available Lightning Lane in one park.

02 · Attractions

Multi Pass and Single Pass use separate attraction lists

Single Pass attractions are excluded from Multi Pass. When reviewed August 10, 2026, Disney listed Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Hollywood Studios, and Avatar Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom as Single Pass attractions.

Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios divide advance Multi Pass choices into groups: the initial purchase generally permits up to one selection from the first group and the other two selections from the second group. Animal Kingdom currently lets guests choose up to three from its listed Multi Pass experiences without that two-group presentation. All lists, closures and availability can change, so the app and official page control for the purchase date.

  • After redeeming a Multi Pass selection—or after its arrival window passes—check for another available Multi Pass experience.
  • Additional Multi Pass choices are made one at a time until regular park closing, subject to availability.
  • Premier Pass includes the selected park's currently listed Multi Pass and Single Pass experiences, one time each.
  • Every pass limits entry to one use per attraction per day under that pass.

03 · When and how to buy

Purchase windows open at 7:00 AM Eastern

Registered guests of Disney Resort hotels and Disney's listed select hotels may buy passes seven days before the first day of the stay for eligible admission dates during that stay, up to a 14-day stay. Other guests generally buy three days before the park visit or before the first valid day of a date-based ticket. Annual Passholders and guests with non-date-based admission may have park-reservation requirements.

Lightning Lane passes are sold only in the My Disney Experience app and require valid theme park admission. The first eligible purchase window opens at 7:00 AM Eastern. The app lets the purchaser see the available experiences and arrival windows for Multi Pass and Single Pass before completing the transaction; Premier Pass does not require those choices.

GuestPurchase windowImportant condition
Disney Resort or listed select-hotel guest7 days before the first stay day, beginning 7:00 AM EasternMay plan eligible admission dates for the stay, up to 14 days
Guest with a date-based ticket3 days before the ticket's first valid day, beginning 7:00 AM EasternMay plan the ticket's valid admission days
Annual Passholder or other non-date-based admission3 days before each park date, beginning 7:00 AM EasternA park reservation may also be required

04 · Price and use

Use the app for live prices, not an old price range

Disney says prices can be viewed in My Disney Experience up to 21 days ahead. Multi Pass and Premier Pass prices vary by theme park and date; Single Pass prices vary by attraction and date. Peak periods may cost more, and purchasing is subject to limited availability. A numeric range copied from a prior season cannot answer what a pass costs for the current visit.

Disney permits a guest to hold one Multi Pass, one Premier Pass and up to two Single Passes for the same day, subject to availability. Multi Pass and Single Passes can be purchased together, while Premier Pass requires a separate transaction. Because Premier already includes one entry to every available Lightning Lane in its selected park, compare the actual coverage before paying for overlapping products.

  • Multi Pass can support later cross-park selections only with valid Park Hopper benefits or an Annual Pass and subject to availability.
  • Single Pass remains valid only for its chosen attraction; Premier Pass remains limited to its chosen park.
  • Multi Pass and Premier Pass include downloads of select attraction photos and videos from the day plus Disney PhotoPass lenses.
  • The photo perk is not full Memory Maker coverage of every PhotoPass photographer image.
  • Lightning Lane passes are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
Bottom line

Check the actual date in My Disney Experience. Disney publishes variable live prices, not a permanent Multi, Single or Premier price.
