Can You Get More Than 3 Lightning Lanes?
Yes. Learn exactly when another Multi Pass selection unlocks, how one-at-a-time additions work, and what changes when you Park Hop.
01 · The sequence
Know exactly when the next selection unlocks
At purchase, Disney prompts you to choose up to three Multi Pass experiences and arrival windows in the same theme park. The day-of rule is event-based, not a fixed two-hour countdown: the next choice opens after you redeem a selection or after that selection's arrival window has passed.
Disney says additional selections are made one at a time and can continue until regular park closing. Every added experience and arrival window remains subject to availability, so the rule gives you another opportunity—not a guaranteed fourth headline attraction.

There is no published Genie+ style rule requiring you to wait two hours. Redemption—or the end of the arrival window—is the trigger Disney currently describes.
02 · Park Hopping
Use the next selection in another park when eligible
If your admission has Park Hopper benefits or you have an Annual Pass, Disney says the additional Multi Pass experience may be in any Walt Disney World theme park after you redeem a selection. The attraction must be available, and entry to the other park remains subject to admission terms and capacity.
You do not buy a second Multi Pass solely because the next selection is in another park. The park-hopping flexibility belongs to the Multi Pass you already purchased, once the day-of redemption condition has been met.
- Initial advance selections must be in the same park.
- Redeem one of those selections before choosing a new experience in another park.
- Your ticket must include Park Hopper benefits, or you must hold an eligible Annual Pass.
- A Lightning Lane selection does not override park admission or capacity rules.
03 · Availability
Separate the rule from what will actually be left
The ability to select again is not the same as useful inventory. High-demand experiences may have late windows or no remaining availability by the time your first selection is redeemed. Disney can also change participating attractions, prices, and inventory.
That is why an early first selection is often strategically useful: it advances the moment when you are allowed to look again. It still should be an experience your group wants. Booking an unwanted early ride only to unlock the app can waste time without producing a better replacement.
- Treat every fourth-or-later selection as a possibility, not part of a guaranteed itinerary.
- Check the app again after each redemption or passed window.
- Modify plans only when the replacement is genuinely better for the group.
- Do not build the day around unofficial refresh tricks or promises of dropped inventory.
04 · Example
Apply the rule to a simple park day
Suppose your initial selections are at 9:30 AM, 12:00 PM, and 3:00 PM. After tapping into the 9:30 AM attraction, you can immediately check for one additional available Multi Pass experience. If you add a 1:00 PM selection, redeeming the noon or 1:00 PM selection creates another opportunity to add one.
The clock time in this example is not the rule. The redemption or passed arrival window is what matters. If your earliest initial window is 3:00 PM, you ordinarily will not gain that first additional-selection opportunity until you redeem it or its window passes.
Start with up to three, then refill one opening at a time. The ceiling is set by availability and how quickly useful windows occur—not a published three-ride daily maximum.
